Weekend house in Cserhátszentiván
On the hillside of Cserhátszentiván stands a 100 m² holiday home, whose design was primarily shaped by the client’s demand for a quick, simple, and cost-effective realization. This requirement determined the choice of materials and technology from the very beginning: the structure was built from SIP panels, which allowed for a short construction period and a favorable budget.
The floor plan includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms, while the heart of the building is a large, continuous communal space with direct access to the terrace. The site’s characteristics—its hilltop location and the surrounding panorama—played a decisive role in shaping the spatial layout: from the living room there is an unobstructed view in every direction, over the valley, the village, and the forests. The visual connections, expansive glass surfaces, and permeability between indoor and outdoor spaces express not only functional needs, but also a close connection to nature.
